Dave, Alan, Todd, Pete, Alex, Gabe, Tom, Me, Kaydie and Jessica all decided to try our luck at gold panning. Unfortunately, the beautiful clear day had a very brisk breeze, so it was CHILLY! Especially once you got a little wet from the creek... Oh well, at least we found a few barely-visible-to-the-naked-eye crumbs of gold...

Jessica and I trail behind, looking everywhere for gold (neither of us has panned before, so we probably had a bunch and tossed it out with the sand!)
Tom said that Kaydie in the backpack was no problem (for the first two hours, then she got heavier and heavier with each step. --- we were out there for at least six hours!)
